Finally...Just not yet
So. The camper finally arrived and away to Bundy I went to get it fitted to the Triton. Well, it turned out that it wasn't really ready. They were waiting for me to guide the last of the fit out. Anyway, in the end, everything went in just as described and discussed many times previously and I was driving out of their shop at 5pm on a Friday afternoon on my way to Eurimbula NP to try it out and catch up with a mate already there. Things were rushed, corners were cut, just to get me out so they could go home. I hate it when that happens. Now I have it on the tray, but still can't use it. The ladder to the tent is too short. I had a feeling something would go wrong so I packed the swag before I left. So now it's time to get it right before I miss some great camping weather. First up, I need to buy a ladder extension. I emailed 4WD Supa Centre. Yes we have them, just call and order. I call. "Sorry we don't have any available. Might be a couple of months" Damn! This thing will be out of warranty before I try it out. So now I'm hunting for a solution. Watch this space....
I spent yesterday afternoon drinking beer and looking at the camper in the driveway. I'm now presented with the task of setting the thing up. It should be an exciting proposition, setting up your new camping system. I'll have to admit though, I'm stumped. I don't know where to start. So I had some more beer. That didn't help, but it made me feel good. I recon I'll just sort out the ladder, pack some stuff and go camping ASAP. I'm sure things will present themselves in time and many solutions will flow while sitting around a fire.....with a beer or two of course.
